Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure safety rules are followed by all staff
• Guide staff in the efficient production of high-quality products
• Supervise all production, packaging, sanitation and warehouse staff on their shift.
• Participate in the hiring of all operations staff
• Support the Continuous Improvement manager in improvement initiatives
• Work with maintenance staff to optimize factory uptime
• Ensure all documentation is completed properly
• Support the delivery of optimum safety, quality and efficiency through the identification and elimination of inefficiencies on the process
• Coordinate all sanitation tasks
• Assist in the development of competencies of all staff to align with company goals
• Communicate all direction from management to shift personnel
• Training, mentoring and guiding team members in new processes and procedures
FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in Training as needed
• Ensure Quality Standards are met
• Follow GMP Practices
SKILLS REQUIRED (INCLUDE EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCY):
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Food Science or equivalent manufacturing experience required
• 5 Years in a management or supervisory role
• Excellent team building and communication skills
